Book Review: Sacred Scripture

Book Review: Sacred Scripture

I was surprised by a box in the mail the other day from the publisher, Our Sunday Visitor. In it were 4 books from their new Teeny Tiny Theology series. My toddler immediately reached for them, shouting “I want!,” so I think they hit the nail on the head in appealing to their target audience.   Let’s look at the Sacred Scripture book today. Book Pre-Order: The Women Doctors of the Church

Book Pre-Order: The Women Doctors of the Church

I hit the ground running this month, and I haven’t stopped!  I am hoping to be able to do another book review next week. UPDATE: Well... I just heard from the editor that Amazon has it wrong! It is slated for a Fall 2022 release now. So stay tuned....

Book Review: Light of the Saints

Book Review: Light of the Saints
I had seen a couple of little “Shine the Light” style books before, and thought it was a cute concept. Take a flashlight, hold it behind the page you are reading, and a new image appears. It works especially well when applied to the Saints! Their lives were full of the hidden mysteries of God, and their virtues shined through. Hold a flashlight to Light of the Saints by Cory Heimann, illustrated by Tricia Dugat, and holy attributes and images physically appear. It is wonderful!

Behind the Pages- a peek at how a book came to be (this one was by me). This is the book that started it all for me. It started my journey as a Catholic author and illustrator, and I could not be more grateful to God for the way things worked out.
